To Doug and Bobbie Griffis on the birth of their great
grandson. Lucas Conner Webber was born on Friday, January 2nd. He weighed 7lbs
and 7ozs. Proud parents are Lisa and Brandon Webber of Bakersfield.

the outstanding job that was done in building extra storage space in the
kitchen. Guys it looks great and will help with organization.
BABY
GIFT
We are collecting towards a congregational baby

TEENS 7th-12th GRADE
The
Youth Rally is scheduled for February 20th -22nd. We hope all of our teens will
be a part of the rally this year. Registration forms are located in the foyer. Cost
for our youth is $15.00 per person. Please try and get your registration forms
turned into the office early.
There
is still a need for housing, especially for girls. If you have not volunteered
to keep teens please consider doing so.

Marshall's new Wednesday
Night Adult Class has begun with the study on Redemption. The class will be
particularly important for new Christians and those seeking salvation. Long
time Christians will benefit in learning to effectively communicate with
non-Christians.
On January 25th there will be a
presentation from the Children's Caring and Sharing to Josh Tackett toward the
mission work being done in India.
The Family Ministry has scheduled a potluck and
meeting for January 25th to discuss and plan for this year's Vacation Bible School. Everyone involved with the Family Ministry or those who would like to
be involved with VBS are encouraged to attend.
The Pepperdine Bible Lectures
this year is
May 5th-8th. If you are planning to attend the lectures, registration forms
are located in the foyer. The deadline for housing reservations is January
21st.
January 19th teens from Exeter, Visalia, Hanford, and Bakersfield are invited to a day of spiritual "Fusion" and fun at
the new McDermont Field House in Lindsay. Along with a devotional the teens
will have an opportunity to enjoy everything the new facility has to offer. The
cost is $25.00 per teen for full access of the facility including games.
However you will need to bring money for food. For more information see Bob.
Family News and Prayers Needed:
Mike
Deckrow was
given his last treatment for cancer the end of December. The results of
recent blood tests were encouraging. He is scheduled for more lab tests on
the 22nd
Mitchell
Galbraith has
been ill with a sore throat.
Margie
had surgery
on Wednesday to fuse her ankle. The surgery was successful and she was able
to come home the same day
Carl
Griffis is
still undergoing tests
Jack
Hicks has
been ill the past couple of weeks
Marty
Noell, Mike's
sister-in-law, came through her heart surgery well.
We
extend our condolences to Carol Bailey with the loss of her sister Mary
Barnett. Mary lived in Terra Bella and passed away on January 2nd. Her
memorial service was held on Wednesday.
