REMEMBERING OUR SHUT-INS AT CHRISTMAS

Ruth Cassidy and Myrtle Jones are making stockings for our shut-ins in hopes of brightening their Christmas. They are asking for donations of the following items for approximately 25 shut-ins.

Travel size lotion-lip balm or chap stick-men and women ankle socks-toothbrushes-travel size or small tube of toothpaste-denture cleaner tablets-small packages of tissues.

HANFORD'S VALLEY CHRISTIAN HOME

On the bulletin board is a list of the items requested along with a smaller list to make your shopping easier. Please have items here by December 7th. Dena Tallerico has volunteered to take the items to Hanford.

Thank you!

I wanted to thank everyone who helped this year at the Senior Saints Thanksgiving Dinner.  The dinner is a wonderful way for us to show our senior brothers and sisters how much they are truly loved and appreciated.  I could not do this each year without the help of the following: my mother, Lou Gilpin who herself is a senior saint but chooses rather to be with me in the kitchen working.  She helps me cook and then stays until the very end to help clean up.  I call her my Martha.  My husband John who will do whatever needs to be done and does it with a smile on his face.  Chris and Beth Newton, Dennis Rutter, Daryl Kulbeth, Michael and Collin Davis and Boy Scouts from Troop 152 for their willingness to help with serving and clean up.  Beth Elford, Evon Kulbeth, LaFahn Monroe and Beth Newton who volunteered to bake the pies.  Sally Wall and the Tweens for the adorable turkey centerpieces.  Thank you all for your help in making this year's Thanksgiving Dinner a great success.

In Christian love,

Karen

I would like to thank the congregation for all the support in the Tweens Thanksgiving Basket project. This project was used to teach our Tweens the importance of being God's Servants and

taking care of others.

The response was overwhelming and we received enough to make five gift baskets and also add to our food pantry. The Tweens put the baskets together last Wednesday night and delivered them on Sunday afternoon. Everyone receiving the baskets was very appreciative and grateful. Two baskets were given to families at Doyle Colony and I received phone call from them thanking the Congregation for your kindness.

A special thanks to all the Tweens and to Bob, Rhonda, Sally and Dena for their commitment and dedication to our Tweens and this congregation.

Rick Wall, Family Ministry
