Next Sunday March 1st will be our Monthly Ministry
Meeting. We will meet at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship room.
The Men's Breakfast is scheduled for March 7th at
Jenny Lynn's off Hwy 190 and Plano.
March 8th the Family Ministry will have
a potluck /meeting to discuss the upcoming Easter Party for the children and
congregation and VBS which will take place in June.
Concerning the Vegetable Garden: Several
have shown an interest in planting a garden. The next step is a need for water
hoses, garden tools, seeds and plants or you may make a cash donation. Please
give it to Dean Monroe, Dena Tallerico or you may turn it in to the office.
The Tulare / Kings County
Right to Life will have their annual "Walk for Life" on March 21st. The Tallerico
Family will be participating this year. If you would like to help them with a
pledge it would be greatly appreciated. You may see Dena for more information.
On March 14th the Tweens and their families
are invited to a fun day at John's Incredible Pizza in Bakersfield. You may
meet at the church at 10:00 a.m. and caravan to Bakersfield or meet at John's
Pizza at 11:00. A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board if you plan to
attend.
Note from the Elders
The
Elders and Ministers of this congregation meet regularly on Sunday evening at
5:00 p.m. Any member of the congregation wishing to meet with the leadership
is welcome to schedule a meeting time with the Elders or chair for that month. The
Elders rotate chairing these meetings as well as the monthly ministry meeting,
and serve as a point of contact for the congregation in the event of a special
need. The elder serving as chair during the month of March is Gary
Ingraham.

With
two baptisms that took place on Sunday, February 8th. Russell Rawlins
confessed that he believed "Jesus is the Son of God" and was baptized by his
dad, James. It was a very touching moment. Norma McArthor, who has been
studying with Marshall decided she too wanted to be baptized and a part of our
church family. Congratulations to you both. May God's light always shine in
your lives.
