NEWS

Our guests last week: Robert Lane-Marvin and Norma Nation-Norma McArthor Pardini

Today is our scheduled Monthly Ministry Meeting at 5:00 p.m. All those involved in our Ministry Program are encouraged to attend.

A Men's Breakfast has been scheduled for February 7th at 8:00 a.m. It will be held at Jenny Lynn's restaurant located on Plano just off Hwy 190.  A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board if you plan to attend.

Next Sunday, February 8th will be Scout Sunday. We encourage all those who are in Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting as well as those who have been a part of any kind of scouting to wear your scout attire.

TEENS  7th-12th GRADE: The Youth Rally is scheduled for February 20th-22nd.  We hope all of our teens will be a part of the rally this year.  Cost for our youth is $15.00 per person.  We are excited this year to have "Won by One" from Pepperdine and Fullerton's theatrical group "From the Heart."  Our guest speaker will be Toby Hendrix.  Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the groups Saturday evening.

From Cari Davis: We are happy to let you know the church web site has been moved to a new host.  There have been some changes and improvements.  If you did NOT receive an e-mail with a password to log in to the site, you may contact me.  I will assist you in creating an account with a password.  The URL has remained the same: www.pvcoc.org

 Welcome

Family News and Prayers Needed

LeeRoy Cantrell  received the results of his recent CAT Scan.  It was not encouraging.  At this time he has not decided what to do as far as treatments

Carl Griffis had surgery last week.  He is recuperating at his brother David's in the Sacramento area

Charley Kirby has not  felt well the past couple of weeks

Holly Taylor, Debbie Blomgren's sister, fell on ice and is not doing well.  Holly lives in Mississippi

Loretta Williams is feeling much better after being ill this past week.

I received word from Stan and Gail this week. They are doing well, enjoying Gracie. Quote from Gail "Gracie is wonderful. Talking, hugging and being such a joy." Wow, what a proud grandma.  Isn't it great?

Thank you

Dear Porterville Church of Christ,

Thank you so much for the generous gift card you sent to us for our wedding.  It was perfect.  We were so happy to hear from our church family from so far away.  Thank you for all you do in the community and for the youth in your area.

Your church directly impacted the lives of both of us. We enjoyed worshipping with you the last time we were there.  You really made Rebecca feel welcomed and reminded Andrew of his Christian roots.  We hope to see all of you sometime soon.

Andrew and Rebecca Noell

Hello Everyone,

Bob and I want to thank everyone for the prayers, cards and calls.

Bob is better.  No more Trach Tube.  He is scheduled for eye surgery soon.  As far as myself the same "O."

Thank you to the Ladies' Craft class for the Christmas stockings. They were so cute.

Betty and Bob Day

Dear Church Family,

Thank you so much for the beautiful plant, all your cards and expressions of sympathy.  We love and appreciate you,

Tom and Beth Elford

Dear Children's Caring and Sharing,

I wanted to write and say thank you for the check you presented to me last Sunday.  Because of your gift many people in India will hear about Jesus Christ.  Keep up the great work.

God Bless,

Joshua Tackett
